Dallas practices in the areas of estate and tax planning, probate, trust and estate administration, business structuring and counseling, commercial and residential real estate. He has structured various estate plans ranging from small to large estates, but always focusing on the individual needs of his clients throughout the planning process. He emphasizes planning for unforeseen circumstances, including disability, incapacity and untimely death. He assists clients by preparing customized revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney. He also drafts limited liability company operating agreements, partnership agreements, and stock/asset purchase agreements.
Dallas is experienced in planning for his clients’ tax-related matters. His planning includes estate, gift, generation-skipping and income taxation. He obtained his Master of Laws (L.L.M) in Taxation from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also represents both buyers and sellers in commercial and residential real estate transactions. He oftentimes represents estates selling real estate and clients selling or buying farmland or commercial properties.
Dallas is involved in federal, state, and local bar associations, including the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Kane County Bar Association. In 2019, he was appointed Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Business Advice & Financial Planning Section Council. He was raised in Charleston, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and his Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, and the United States Tax Court.
Dallas currently resides in Plainfield, Illinois with his wife and two dogs.
